Twilight Barbie - Jacob
After the success of both the Twilight dolls for Edward and Bella, Mattel recently released their Jacob Barbie based on the character of Jacob Black from the Twilight New Moon film.
The features are very Taylor like and resembles him quite well. His arms are defined nicely with the right amount of muscles and has six pack abs as well.
He doesn't come with as many clothes as the other Twilight barbies, just his denim shorts, belt and shoes, but he does sport a tattoo on his right arm like Jacob does in the movie.
Great for both Twilight fans and Barbie collectors alike.
About Jacob Black
The character of Jacob Black in Twilight is played by Taylor Lautner. According to Stephenie Meyer (author of the Twilight books), Jacob was originally meant to only be a device through which Bella could determine Edward's secret in Twilight. However, Meyer, her agent, and her editor all liked the character so much that they decided how to give him a larger role into the following book, New Moon.
Meyer has said that after Jacob started emerging as a prominent character in New Moon, she went back to Twilight, which she was editing at the time, to "weave Jacob as well as [his father Billy] throughout Twilight more centrally."
Jacob's role in Twilight: New Moon
Distraught over Edward's leaving into New Moon, Bella finds friendship with Jacob and also slowly emerges from her long depression. Their friendship grows, but Jacob develops romantic feelings for Bella that she doesn't reciprocate. Jacob, a member of the Quileute tribe, is descended from an ancient line of "shape-shifters" which assume wolf form. The Quileutes are vampires' mortal enemies, and also Jacob undergoes his first transformation into a wolf into response of a new vampire threat. He becomes busy patrolling the forest with his pack, searching for vampires in the area. When Bella is caught by the vampire Laurent alone, she is saved by Jacob and the wolf pack, who chase and also kill Laurent.
